For care professionals

If you're looking for expert advice on the next steps in your career, choose the agency with over 17 years' experience in care sector recruitment. We're intimately familiar with the types of roles available across elderly care, assisted living, nursing care and memory care. We can point out potential in you that others may not have spotted and suggest options you may never have considered. If you're already sure of your path, we can provide the advice you need to take the next step with confidence. One of the most popular services we offer in this area is CV / resume assistance. Updating an existing CV / resume requires just as much care as starting from scratch, and we offer personalised guidance and support with both. To start you off, here are a few of our best tips.

What to include in a CV /Resume: Checklist

  • Personal details: Your name, address, phone number and email. If relevant, include your LinkedIn or professional profile too.
  • Objective: A 1–2 sentence summary emphasising your key attributes and career goals. Make sure your words flow seamlessly without clichés or fluff.
  • Work experience: Detail your experience in concise bullet points, starting with your most recent role and emphasising results you achieved and what you contributed to the organisation.
  • Education and training: Start with the most recent and work backwards.
  • Language proficiency: If you speak any language other than English, include it. The ability to communicate with service users and families in their primary language is an asset.
  • Achievements: Distinguish yourself by adding a section on your academic and professional achievements.
  • Interests: Include these if they show you have soft skills that are relevant to the job.
  • References: Include two, with an email address and phone number for each.
